ANNUAL TZEDAKAH ACTIVITIES

Throughout the year the Temple is involved in Tzedakah activities that support a variety of local organizations with drives and fundraisers, as well as many opportunities to volunteer.

DOBBS FERRY AND HASTINGS FOOD PANTRIES
Weekly donations of produce and juice.

JOIN US ON A MIDNIGHT RUN 
Deliver food, clothing, toiletries and sleeping bags to designated locations in NYC; on select Fridays. To join us, email cantorjoseph@tbshastings.org

VOLUNTEER TO HELP AT FEEDING WESTCHESTER 
Sort food donations at Feeding Westchester’s food bank warehouse in Elmsford. 

MEN’S CLOTHING DRIVE 
Bring in men’s winter coats, pants (no dress slacks) and socks to be distributed to the homeless in NYC. Help deliver to Midnight Run in Dobbs Ferry.

ANNUAL THANKSGIVING GIFT OF DOUBLE CHAI 
Purchase Thanksgiving dinners to send home with the residents of Children’s Village in Dobbs Ferry. Our Tikkun Olam teen group will sort and prepare these holiday packages. Each gift of double chai ($36) funds a complete dinner. 

ANNUAL NEW HATS, MITTENS/GLOVES & SOCKS DRIVE
Donate NEW hats, mittens/gloves and socks for the Hastings Youth Advocate to distribute to children from preschoolers to teens throughout the Rivertowns. 

GRADE 4 TOILETRIES DRIVE FOR MIDNIGHT RUN Bring unused travel-size toiletry items to be sorted by Grade 4 on Tzedakah Day, for distribution to the homeless in New York City. 

TIKKUN OLAM BAKE SALE On Tzedakah Day, buy homemade baked goods at the Temple to support Habitat for Humanity’s programs.
